There was a high of 24°f today dropping to 4°f tonight so I did the logical thing a bought a convertible. It is a 2000 z3 2.3 which is actually only a 2.2l since this was around the time BMW decided numbers on the car wouldn’tneed to correlate to anything. Still has a lot more low end torque then the 318ti ;)
Thank you again MonkeyB ST for the VIN look up

I thought the 2.3 models had a 2.5l engine, no?

I think that was true before 2000. Then it got the 2.2 m54 from the E46 - according to Wikipedia

Nice, and with a rare removable hardtop option as well!

These and early Z4s are getting sooooo tempting. A lot of car for 10 yr old Corolla money.

I didn’t think we ever got that engine in the states, must have only been for the E36/7 then.

I had a ‘83 325e which had a ...2.7L engine. They’ve been disregarding those numbers for a while.
